Welcome to the first episode of The Trainers Tribe, a podcast for trainers who want to grow a meaningful fitness business.
In this episode Dale Sidebottom and myself (Kyle Wood) dive into why we decided to create the podcast and what we hope to achieve by running it.
We want to create an honest, transparent resource for trainers to help them with all aspects of training and running a small fitness business. By choosing audio as our medium is means trainers can listen to while driving, working out, cleaning up around the house, setting up their sessions and however else you like to listen to stuff.
Plus, the benefit of audio is also that you can listen to it over and over again which has been proven to be a fantastic method of learning.
In the process we hope you’ll get to know us a bit better too.
Speaking of which, this show will normally be a weekly show, with one new episode at the start of each week. However, this week we wanted to introduce each other so we’ve got three episodes coming out for our launch week!
In this episode Dale will be interviewing me and in the next episode I’ll be interviewing him. In the third episode we dive into how to plan the perfect group fitness session.
Here are some things that come up while Dale interviews me:
- How we met (thanks Leon)
- What Kyle did before he became a trainer
- How his first bootcamp actually failed
- And how his second bootcamp had a rocky start too
- How his business grew and how he found his assistant trainer
- The story around Kyle going from bootcamp trainer to full time online business owner
- Why he moved overseas
- How BootCraft came to be
